Also, please be aware that soon, we will be moving back to Wednesday
until middle March and I will tell you in March what will happen then.
Our dancing location within the JCC will also change.

Welcome back from camp!! I hope you had fun. Now go rest!! There
will be no dancing this Monday. Instead, we will dance on Wednesday
6:30-7:15, 7:15-8, 8-10. Please spread the word to EVERYONE as they

This is to remind you that there is no dancing this Monday. Meet at
the JCC on Wednesday instead for a great Dany/Ruthy Workshop. 7-10 PM
$10 community, $5 students. Instead of wasting paper and printing
flyers, I am asking that you all forward this email to every dancer on
your personal email lists (especially for those of you that go to the
International dance class class).

NUMERO UNO- Everyone bring your checkbooks this Monday. You all are
procrastinators and the last minute has finally arrived! Make your
checks out to Ruthy Slann (I think) and sign up for Karmiel USA.
BELIEVE IT OR NOT THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE...THE DEADLINE IS
HERE (SERIOUSLY!! !!!)

EVEN IF YOU WANT TO HESITATE SOME MORE- YOUR TIME IS UP....
In fact- in order to not forget- Stop reading right now, go to your
bag, get out your checkbook and a pen, fill in the blanks NOW, fold it
in half, carefully place it in your dance bag, DON'T FORGET WHERE YOU
PUT IT, and continue reading for more important updates.

WHEW! Now that we got that out of the way- you will be registered for
dance camp and we wont have to pass a dance bill for "That dancer that
is left behind act"

Spread the love!! THIS MONDAY WEAR RED, PINK, WHITE!!
Hey Dancers! After a break from dancing for a week- it's time to celebrate!!
This Monday is Tu B'av. In Israel it is known as 'Love Day'- Chag Ahava. So let's take this opportunity
to LOVE everyone! Wear your love colors, bring something sweet to eat (and Kosher- check for the
appropriate kosher symbols), and let's PARTY PARTY PARTY!! I know that it is hot during
the summer in the gym but let's make the best of it!! For those of you who have not attended in a while,
we have been switching to the A/C gym once basketball leaves. There is no guarentee when/if this happens but it
has happened the past few weeks. So join us!! We will also be learning a new dance that you don't want to miss!

SORRY ABOUT THE LAST MINUTE NEWS: Due to Tisha B'av there will be no
dancing. The JCC will also be closed. Please pass this message on to
everyone you know- not everyone is on this list and will not be
informed.

I also want to take this opportunity to remind you that we always have
new faces at dancing and it is our responsibility to introduce
ourselves. Please take a few minutes each class to welcome our new
dancers. We want them to feel comfortable and to enjoy our dancing
community as much as you do.

Hey Dancers. It was brought to my attention that some dancers were
unsure if they could attend this workshop in fear that it may be too
difficult. Yes, it is a workshop geared towards challenging dances
but it is also geared toward some of the great classics that we do
not know as a group! Believe me, this workshop is for everyone!
Beginners do not fear! You will have the opportunity to learn most
of the dances and by attending this workshop, you will get the chance
to be exposed to a whole slew of dances you should know and it will
make it easier for you to dance them when they are reviewed in the
regular sessions (Beg/Int/Adv). I encourage all of you to join this
workshop as it is a special treat that does not happen very often.
We already have so many people signed up that I know it will be
fabulous! If you feel you are missing out, it is still not too late
to sign up. Contact Meliss TODAY (770-241-6914,
rikudatlanta@yahoo.com, macholatlanta@yahoo.com) to hold your place.
The cost is $12 per workshop and $10 for a CD. $46 for the entire
event with a CD included or $36 without.

Dear Dancers: We will NOT be having a dance session next Monday May 28, 2007 in honor of Memorial Day. Most JCC workers will not be in that day to set up our session. If you are a JCC member, however, keep in mind that the JCC is open. We will resume our dance session on June 4, 2007. See you then!! On Tuesday, April 24, Federation and the Marcus JCC are sponsoring the celebration of Israel Independence Day at the JCC's Zaban Park branch in Dunwoody. Like a Fourth of July celebration, the event is festive and informal. It features Israeli music by Paz, Israeli folk dancing by Nitzanim and Israeli-themed youth activities. Families are encouraged to bring picnic dinners or to buy pizza and soft drinks at the party. The fun starts at 6:30 p.m.

Dear Dancers: I wanted to remind you that Monday night starts Yom Ha'atzma'ut (Israeli Independence Day). In honor of this celebration, we are going to dance mostly songs related to Israel. Please wear blue and white that day for a class picture. Also, on Tuesday April 24th, the JCC will be holding their own celebration for this holiday. It is a free, outdoor event. There will be music, bring your own dinner, and of course DANCING!! Nitzanim will be performing on their stage at 8PM and afterward, we need as many dancers as possible to dance some easy, traditional dances for the crowd so please join us!! 2ndly, I want to invite you to view my updated website at www.rikudatlanta.com There you will find lots of information about dancing in Atlanta. On the home page, you will see a picture of my RIKUD license plate. If you click on that, it will get you to the latest group email.
